Mission Statement

At Light E.N.T., we specialize in the treatment of Ear Disease, Sinus Disease and Allergies. Our top notch staff is fully trained to obtain specific patient information to allow for optimum treatment and time well spent with the doctor. Our physicians explore a multitude of possible causes of symptoms to assure the best customized treatment for each patient.

This includes comprehensive examinations, in-office allergy testing and treatment for sinus or ear related issues. Our Audiology Department is fully equipped to facilitate thorough audiological evaluations, hearing aid demonstrations, as well as treat vertigo (dizziness) and test for vestibular disorders. We are one of few offices that offer the option of Implant hearing devices and maintain the latest in all hearing aid brands.

As an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist and Neurotologist, Dr. Light offers the most up-to-date management of Sinus and Ear disorders. The medical team at Light E.N.T. offers in office procedures and specialized surgeries including a full consultation with the doctors and surgical coordinator to ensure complete care.

Joshua P. Light, M.D.

Dr. Light is a double board certified physician in Otolaryngology as well as sleep medicine. Dr. Light received his E.N.T. training at NYU Medical Center. His subspecialty focus includes the medical and surgical treatment of ear disease, for which he received fellowship training at the Ear Research Foundation.

Dr. Light specializes in the area of Sinus and Allergy treatment, and is a nationally recognized expert in minimally invasive office techniques for managing chronic sinus problems with balloon dilation.

He is a consultant on new medical devices for sinus surgery, and is a research investigator conducting clinical trials  ongoing. In addition, Dr. Light has a second board certification in Sleep Medicine. This includes treatment of sleep disorders such as snoring, sleep apnea, and insomnia.

Dr. Light has been in private practice in Palm Beach County since 2002. He is currently on staff at Boca Raton Regional Hospital and Boca Raton Outpatient Surgery and Laser Center.


Dr. Michael Schwartz

Dr. Michael Schwartz is a renowned facial plastic surgeon and E.N.T. Specialist certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is highly sought both for his skilled hand and for the compassion he brings to patient care.

It is noteworthy that during Dr. Schwartz extensive training and education e received direct instruction from two of the most highly regarded surgeons of the twentieth century - Dr. John Conley and Dr. Michael DeBakey.

Dr. Schwartz stays at the forefront of the latest state of the art advancements in facial plastic surgery and maintains a high level of surgical activity, caring for thousands of patients since 1986.

Dr. Mallory Highstein

Dr. Mallory Highstein is an Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgeon. Dr. Highstein received her ENT training at University of Maryland Medical Center. She covers the entire breadth of Otolaryngology, taking special interest in sinus surgery, allergy, hearing loss, vertigo, speech and swallow disorders, as well as head and neck surgery.

Dr. Highstein shines in patient and staff rapport receiving several accolades during her training including resident of the year out of several hundred residents in the hospital as well as an award for her relationships with the nurses. She provides medical and surgical care for adult patients with all diseases of the head and neck.

Dr. Highstein takes great pride in helping her patients achieve return to normal function or better. She looks forward to helping you improve your quality of life!

Julie Daugherty, Ph.D, NP-C

Julie Daugherty is a board certified Nurse Practitioner, Clinician/Scientist who has specialty training in Otolaryngology and Allergy and Immunology. Julie received her training at the University of South Florida where she completed her PhD in Nursing Science. She has been a practicing Nurse Practitioner since 2006 and has held academic appointments since 2015.

Julie’s fellowship focus was in Otolaryngology where she received many awards and honors for her work furthering the study of diseases and processes in this field. Julie is widely published for her work in ear disease.

Julie specializes in diseases affecting the ears, sinus, and throat and has an extensive background in allergy and immunology. Julie works with our physicians and audiology team to provide a comprehensive approach to addressing functional diseases that affect the senses and activities of eating, drinking, speaking, breathing, swallowing, and hearing.

Karen Reyes, APRN

Karen Reyes is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner. She joined the Light ENT team in 2022. Karen started her career in Emergency Medicine before transitioning to Primary Care and has now joined the Light ENT team. Her background makes her an excellent asset to our team. She excels in treating the patient as a whole and not just the problem or symptoms.

Karen was born in Argentina, but has spent most of her life in Florida. She is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, and English.

Anyone who meets Karen feels immediately comfortable with her as exemplified by her being awarded “The DAISY Award” in 2020 for providing extraordinary care to her patients. She looks forward to bringing that same amazing care and continuing her purpose in life to help and support her patients here at Light ENT.

Karilin Campos, PA-C


Karilin Campos is a board-certified Physician Assistant fluent in both Spanish and English. She was born in Venezuela and was raised in South Florida. She received her Bachelors degree in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of South Florida. Karilin then obtained her Masters in Medical Science from Nova Southeastern University. She is committed to providing exceptional care to her patients while keeping up to date with the latest innovations in medicine.

Erin Sember, AuD

Erin Sember received her Doctorate in Audiology from the Northeast Ohio Au.D. Consortium in 2015, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She received her Bachelor of Science in Hearing, Speech and Language Sciences and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Ohio University in 2011.

Erin completed her fourth-year Doctoral Clinical Externship at the Cleveland Clinic and has additional experience in a variety of settings, including adult E.N.T., pediatric E.N.T./hospital, educational audiology, and university clinic settings.

Kim Doucett, AuD

Kim Doucett graduated with her Doctorate in Audiology from the University of Florida in 2001. She completed both her undergraduate and graduate studies at East Carolina University in 1988.

She has experience in a variety of clinical settings such as E.N.T. practice, private practice, and the public school system. She joined the clinical diagnostic team at Doctors’ Hearing and Balance Centers of E.N.T. and Allergy Associates of Florida in 1998.

Kim is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and she has served on the board for the Florida Academy of Audiology. She is Board Certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

Kim Doucett

Melissa Schenley, AuD

Melissa Schenley graduated with her Doctorate in Audiology from the University of South Florida in 2022. She received her Bachelor of Health Science in Hearing, Speech, and Language Sciences from the University of Florida in 2018.

Melissa completed her fourth-year Doctoral Clinical Externship at South Florida E.N.T. Associates. She has additional experience in a variety of clinical settings, including adult E.N.T., university clinic setting, and private practice.

Melissa’s areas of expertise include:
